Heathfield netball club wants more members

IF THE GYM is boring and pounding the streets too strenuous, what about a brisk game of netball? Netball club The Heathfield Panthers has started a series of sessions for players of all ages, from youngsters in primary school, first year at senior school, over 18s to anyone under about 100 who feels fit enough to play.

Games take place on different afternoons or evenings – according to age – at either Heathfield Leisure Centre or St Bedes Sports Hall, Upper Dicker. Fees to play range from £2.50 to £3 per session or can be booked as a full course.

They began on September 12 and continue to December 5 this year. Everyone is welcome and it doesn’t matter how well or badly you think you can play. The aim is to have fun.

Equipment is provided but players should wear sensible sports clothing and trainers. If you are interested, ring Miss Cobbold at Heathfield Community College on: 01435 866066.
