PUNNETTS TOWN VILLAGE HALL: Tomorrow, Saturday, starting at 10am, the Punnetts Town Classic Car and Fun Dog Show, will again be held at the recreation ground. There will be vintage and veteran vehicles of all kinds. If you own a car you would like to show, please let John Smith know on (01435) 831 653. There will also be many fun competitions for dogs during the day, for more details phone (01435) 810 166. Admission £2 for adults, £1 for children, profits to go towards village hall funds. The recreation ground is at the western end of the village, on Battle Road. Parking will be very limited, but a Park and Ride system will be in operation.

ST RICHARD’S CHURCH: Tomorrow, Saturday, 9am Parish Prayers in Church. Sunday, 9am Holy Communion (Said); 11am Churches Together in Heathfield and District United Service at Heathfield Community Centre, Sheepsetting Lane. Tuesday, 2pm St Richard’s Toddler Group in the church hall.

Wednesday, 10am Holy Communion.

QUIZ NIGHT: Saturday June 25 at Cross in Hand Village Hall, 7pm for 7.30pm start, £5 per person. To book tickets or for information phone 07923 529889 or email [email protected]. Profits go into the Cross in Hand Village Fete.

CHURCHYARD WORKING PARTY: At All Saints’ Churchyard tomorrow, Saturday, from 10am to 1pm. Penny Kift is organising this effort and volunteers are needed to mow the paths, and strim and rake up the daffodils now they have died back. Equipment can be provided but if you can bring your own all the better. You don’t have to commit to all three hours, any time you can give will be welcome and refreshments will be provided.
