ST RICHARD’S CHURCH: Sunday, 9.45am Parish Eucharist with activities for children. Tuesday, 1.30pm St Richard’s Art and Craft Group in the church hall. Wednesday, 10am Holy Communion.

SHOWSTOPPERS: Is a joint Holiday Club run in partnership with St Richard’s Church. It is being held from Monday to Friday, August 1 to 5, at All Saints and St Richard’s Primary School. There is a full programme of stories, craft, games, singing, and music. On Thursday the Saints Alive puppets will be telling the story, and on Friday we will be telling the story with drums and other percussion instruments. Friday evening, August 5, children and their parents are invited to a special event at St Richard’s Church Hall to round off the week. CROSS IN HAND WI: Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, 2pm at the Cross-in-Hand Village Hall. Our speaker will be Mrs J Ramsey with a talk entitled For What it’s Worth. There will be an opportunity to bring along and view antique items and to find out what treasures we may have hiding in our attics. This meeting is open to all ladies, whatever age you are, and is an ideal opportunity to spend an afternoon with us, enjoy our friendship and a cup of tea and have some fun, why not give it a go? FLOWER FESTIVAL: At St Giles Church Dallington. The theme is Life’s Journey from August 5 to 7. Open daily from 10am to 5pm. Refreshments and stalls. Friday August 5, 7.30pm Quiz at the Old School. Tickets £5 (up to six in a team). Light refreshments, bring your own drinks. Saturday August 6 at 6pm bring your own picnic in the churchyard or if the weather is poor, in church. This will be followed at 7.30pm with a Variety Concert in church. Donations towards the flower festival would be gratefully received. Sunday August 7, 5.30pm Songs of Praise to close the festival.
