'˜Heavily pregnant' Sedlescombe ewe's ear ripped off by dog

A '˜heavily pregnant' ewe in Sedlescombe was attacked by a dog on Monday (March 21).

The sheep had an ear ripped off and its throat severely damaged by the mutt.

In other farming-related crime, a 110 County Land Rover was stolen from the drive in Marlpits Lane, Ninfield, on Monday, March 14.

A yard in North Trade Road, Battle was broken into and a large quantity of garden type rubbish was dumped, the intruders then stole 20 sheets of 8’x4’ plywood sheets on the same day.

Also on the same day, a farm shed in Bodiam was entered and a quantity of meat was stolen overnight.
