BLUEBELL WALK: This starts for the season next Saturday April 8 and runs until May 15. Different charities to support every day. Glorious walks and delicious refreshments to follow in the great barn. COUNTRY AND ROEBUCK PARKS: At the recent Hellingly Parish Council meeting regarding the Grounds Maintenance Contract: awarded the contract to Barcombe Landscapes on the basis of satisfactory performance in the first year of the three-year contract. Active Play: Sessions for the Easter Holidays had been arranged for Thursday and Friday April 6 and 7, and 13 and 14, all 1.30pm to 3pm. The clerk would put up the banner to advertise the sessions. Community Hall: The Working Group had met with the Project Managers twice to discuss the Community Hall Project. The Working Group had discussed the layout of the Hall and TDS would produce some new drawings for the council to consider. It was likely to take three months to obtain revised planning permission.

BLUEBELL MEMBERSHIP: Take out a membership this year and visit the bluebell trail as often as you like. Unfortunately, there has had to be an increase in all the entrance charges this year, as they now have to pay 20 percent VAT the Bluebell Barn will now be assessed for Non-Domestic rates. The cost per adult will be £22 and for a family £48, to visit as often as you like whilst it is open, namely Saturday April 8 until Sunday May 14. There are various ways you can pay by BACS in advance or cash or credit card at the gate house on your first visit and your membership card will be ready for you when you next visit. COFFEE MORNINGS: With book exchange takes place at Dicker Village Hall from 10.40am to noon on Thursday Mornings. Book exchange or purchase 20p.

LENT LUNCHES: Throughout Lent the Parish of Hellingly and Upper Dicker is holding a number of lunches. The proceeds will be going to the charity Caring and Sharing. This charity supports 14 overseas projects which provide basic necessities for very poor people.
