Help for the elderly of Sidley

Older residents of Sidley will be able to get advice and information on the services available to them at an Information Day on Thursday 19th July from 10am '“ 1.30pm at Sidley Baptist Church.

The day has been organised by Hastings and Rother PCT, Sidley Baptist Church and In Touch and organisations attending on the day include the Pension Service, Bexhill Caring Community, Rother Homes and Help the Aged.

Falls prevention advice will also be available, with the promotion of the "sloppy slipper" initiative and free night lights and light bulbs to be given out on a first come first served basis.

There will also be an opportunity to find out about the luncheon club, coffee mornings and other activities offered at the Sidley Baptist Church.

Margaret Delahoy, Public Health Development Worker, said: "This event will be a great opportunity for Sidley residents to access information and advice about local organisations which provide services to older people."
