Volunteer street performers and buskers are wanted to take part in Seaford’s Christmas celebrations on Saturday December 6.

Seaford Town Council and Seaford Chamber of Commerce are staging the all day event from 10am to 5pm in the town centre.

They are interested in finding people who can provide entertainment for the crowds in various locations around Seaford town centre on the day.

Rachel Beard, who is one of the event organisers, from Seaford Town Council, said: “There is no age limit or tough restrictions on what you can entertain us with as long as it is family friendly.

“We really want this Seaford Christmas Magic event to be most successful Christmas shopping experience in Sussex.”

There are also still places left for those wanting a stall on the day for businesses, charities and voluntary groups.

If you are interested in having a stall, you must ensure you have public liability insurance and send a copy with the payment and booking form to Rachel Beard at Seaford Town Council, 37 Church Street, Seaford BN25 1HG.

Prices are £30 for a charity/voluntary stall and £45 for a commercial stall.

The deadline for applications is Friday November 14.

The intention is to position the stalls/pitches on Broad Street, facing towards the shops.

Other streets may be used for a similar purpose; such as Place Lane and Sutton Road. Broad Street and neighbouring roads will be closed to traffic from 6am-7pm as this year will be an all-day event.

Shops will be open for normal working hours.
