SPONSORED WALK: On Sunday meet at 10am at the Merrie Harriers, Cowbeech for a sponsored walk with Mary Ann 833749 to raise money for local charities. Registration is from 9.30am.

EVENING WALK: On Tuesday meet at The Plough, Upper Dicker at 6.30pm for Irene’s favourite walk of approximately four miles with drinks in the pub after. Ring walk leader Sue on 832016 if you would like to go along.

WHAT’S YOUR GUT FEELING?: Saturday May 7, from 7pm to 8pm, Speaker Tanya Borowski, Nutritionist on IBS. Book at the Herstmonceux Health Centre 01323 833535.

ANNUAL PLANT SALE: Saturday May 7 at Herstmonceux Village Hall. Seedlings, perennials, houseplants, unused gardening books, small garden sundries. The sale starts at 10am.

HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY: On Tuesday there is an evening visit to Wartling Churchyard and Court Lodge Farm. Contact Alan Sephnton at alan.benrica@phonecoop.coop for the details.

ALPHA COURSE: Herstmonceux and Wartling churches are holding an Alpha Course, starting on Tuesday. This offers a chance to discuss the Christian faith in an informal and non-confrontational setting. Various time slots are available during the day and evening and the course will be held in a home in Church Road, Herstmonceux, with transport available if required. Anyone would be welcome to attend for one session or all 10. For more information, please call 01323 833124.
