CHURCH SERVICES: From January all church services will be at Herstmonceux whilst building works take place at Wartling, this will be for a minimum of two months. The next services at All Saints will therefore be this Sunday 8am (Wartling Service) Holy Communion (BCP) 10am Family Service, 6pm (Wartling) Evensong.

THE WINDMILL: On February 18 the band, Recycled, will be playing 50s and 60s music at Herstmonceux Village Hall. Tickets are just £12 including a ploughman’s supper and all proceeds will go to the continued maintenance of the windmill at Windmill Hill. Tickets can be reserved by email at [email protected]. Please support this fundraising event.

WALKING GROUP: On Sunday the group is walking five miles on the Cuckoo Trail and Shinewater lakes. If you would like to go along contact Judith on 845769.

ACTIVE PLAY SESSION: The active play session mentioned last week is on February 18. Book your place and for more information 07717 776788 at Herstmonceux Village Hall 9.30am to 12.30pm. Play activities giant snakes and ladders, giant jenga, space hoppers volley ball tri-golf etc.

OPEN EVENING: Herstmonceux Science Centre has an open evening tomorrow, Saturday, from 6.30pm to 11pm. Visit www.the-observatory.org for more information.

RAY AND SHELDON: The over 60s club which meets at Hellingly village hall on Friday February 10 at 2pm will be enjoying a talk by Ian Everest on the subject of Shepherds on the Downs. If you are interested in going along or would like to become a member, ring Anne on 441244.
