A SPLENDID new book documenting the county's rich history has emerged following the West Sussex Gazette's 150th birthday celebrations fice years ago.
The book Tales of the Unexpected: Five Centuries of Country Life brings togerther and expands the weekly columns that county historian Kim Leslie was asked to write for the Gazette in 2003.
Kim, former education officer at the West Sussex Record Office , has drawn on record Office documents and other sources as far afield as Australia to paint a picture stretching way beyond the space limits of working with the paper.
