HGV andcar collideat Udimorethis week

A WOMAN was taken to the Conquest Hospital on Monday after a Ford Ka and a lorry collided head-on outside Sowdens Oast on the B2089 Udimore Road.

A telegraph pole was also damaged in the collision.

Two other passengers, both men, the elder of whom was the driver, were also hurt.

The road was closed between its junction with the A28 at Broad Oak, Brede, and Float Lane, Rye, while emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended the scene.

Anyone who saw the collision or who has other information is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or email [email protected], quoting serial 686 of 24/2.

A 62 year old man was injured on Tuesday morning after his vehicle was involved in a collision with a stationary object at Guestling. He was treated at the Conquest Hospital.
