High number of stunning entries at summer show

The judges certainly had a hard task judging the entries at Cowfold Horticultural Society's Summer Show held on Saturday July 2 as part of Cowfold Festival.

Although the number of people entering the show was down slightly, they produced a higher number of exhibits than the previous year, ranging from stunning flowers, tasty looking vegetables, scrumptious entries in the cookery classes, innovative handicrafts, floral art and some stunning photography, as well as delightful entries in the children’s classes which included handprint trees and facemasks made from paper plates.

The show was held in a marquee generously sponsored by the Dark Star Foundation and we are very grateful to them for their support. Such support, and that of our regular and very welcome new competitors, helps keep this village tradition alive. However, Cowfold Horticultural Society is badly in need of new committee members to help keep both the society and the show going. Don’t let the 2016 show be the last ever!
