High tides to hitthe Rye coast
The Rye area coastline will have higher than average tides this weekend.
Astronomical tides, linked to the current moon cycle, are 17 to 22cm higher than normal.
Flooding would occur only if higher tides and weather patterns combined to generate tidal surges and high waves.
Winchelsea Beach is the most exposed area.
