High-value watches and bank cards stolen from golf club lockers

Do you recognise these men thought to be involved in a high-value theft from a golf club last month?

Between 11am and 1pm on Thursday, March 31 someone broke into lockers at the East Sussex National Golf Club in Little Horsted near Uckfield and stole two high-value watches and three bank cards from three different people’s lockers.

One card was used at John Lewis Home in Tunbridge Wells in Kent at 2.50pm to buy a £450 gift card. Another man tried to use another card but that was declined at the till. Another card was declined at a Currys store and a Holiday Inn in Oxford.

PC Tessa Heath said: “We have been reviewing the CCTV at the golf club and at John Lewis and have identified two men we believe are connected with the theft. Do you recognise them?

“One man is white with grey hair, wearing a grey shirt and dark trousers and glasses and sunglasses, the other man is also white wearing a white shirt and black trousers.

“They were both smartly dressed and spent some time in the golf club and a number of people walked past them. Are you a member and did you see them that day? They may have been acting suspiciously in the locker and changimg areas.”
