High winds cause damage in Littlehampton
STRONG winds overnight and this morning (May 15) caused some damage in the Littlehampton area.
The town’s firefighters were called to the Sportsfield, in St Flora’s Road, shortly after 7am, to deal with two covers which had broken loose from the cricket pitch.
The metal-framed PVC covers, measuring 4m by 7m, were blowing about in wind.
They were removed from the frames by the fire crew and made safe.
