High winds force cancellation of Human League show at Brighton Racecourse

A night of live music set to take place at Brighton Racecourse this evening (September 8) has been cancelled over severe weather.

The Human League was set to perform, with support from Marc Almond.

The racecourse said tickets would be refunded, and would be valid for tomorrow night's show with Hacienda Classical.

A Brighton Racecourse spokesperson said: "Due to the high winds that the area is currently experiencing, Brighton Racecourse has made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s event with The Human League.

"This decision was made in the interests of the health and safety for our customers as well as the stage crew and artists.

"The event scheduled for tomorrow night (September 9), with Hacienda Classical is currently not affected as the high winds are forecast to drop over the next 24 hours.

"Brighton Racecourse will offer a full refund for all customers who have booked tickets for tonight’s event with The Human League.

"In addition, all tickets for tonight’s event (The Human League) will be valid for tomorrow’s event (Hacienda Classical) for entry before 7pm.

"All refunds will be automatically processed within the next fourteen working days via the method through which tickets were booked. Cash purchases will require a proof of purchase, customers are asked to retain tickets.
