A Grade II listed detached flint thatched cottage, which is possibly the village’s oldest residential property, is seeking new owners.

A date in the front wall of Lavender Cottage in Felpham Road puts the time of its construction at 1560.

That was the year when William Shakespeare was born and Mary Queen of Scots had just returned to Scotland.

The present property comprises the integration of at least two cottages and sits at the heart of Felpham.
