Historical buildings open to the public in Telscombe Village

FASCINATING buildings in Telscombe Village will be on show as part of National Heritage Open Days.

Telscombe Village Club, Stud Farm and St Laurence Church will be accessible to visitors on Sunday September 11 thanks to Telscombe Town Council.

Refreshments will be served in the Village Club, while artists and craftsmen will exhibit.

Sussex painter, illustrator, sculptor and teacher Cliff Wright, who is well-known for his work on two of the Harry Potter book covers, will also exhibit at the club.

His illustrations have been published all over the world and most recently he has devoted time to his lifelong passion for sculpture.

He has just founded the Elemental Eye Gallery and Studio in the East Sussex village of Alfriston.

There will also be a screening of the ‘Last Night of the Proms’ from 7.15-11pm on Saturday September 10 at Telscombe Civic Centre. Tickets cost £5.
