HM Courts Service: Results list for February 20 to 24, 2017

Alexander Blackmore, 34, of Bayford Road, Littlehampton, was given an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement after being found guilty of using a false prescription with intent to have a larger amount of diasepam dispensed than was prescribed in Bognor Regis on June 8, 2016; and admitting stealing champagne worth £66 from Marks and Spencer, Chichester, on December 2, 2016; stealing a gift set worth £75 from Boots, Bognor Regis, on November 16, 2016; stealing gift sets worth £75 from Boots, Bognor Regis, on November 18, 2016; and stealing a £49.99 coat from New Look, Chichester, on December 2, 2016. He was given a two-week consecutive prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, after admitting stealing alcohol and groceries worth £215.68 from Tesco, Petersfield, on January 20, 2017. He must pay £115 victim surcharge and £150 costs.

Annette Armstrong, 55, of Mill Road, Slindon Common, was given a community order and must carry out 150 hours’ unpaid work, after admitting producing a quantity of cannabis in Arundel on November 12, 2016. She must pay £85 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

Jose De Castro, 40, of Goldstone Road, Hove, was fined £500 and must pay £50 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving in Albion Street, Southwick, on September 2, 2016, without due care and attention. His driving record was endorsed with nine points.

Carn Williams, 30, of Blacksmiths Crescent, Sompting, was fined £160 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting using threatening words or behaviour, causing harassment, alarm or distress, which the court found to be racially aggravated, on Penstone Park, Lancing, on October 19, 2016.

Ennio Pusceddu, 61, of Sea Lane, Rustington, was fined £120 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (59mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Sea Lane, Rustington, on February 3, 2017. He was disqualified from driving for 16 months.

Josh Sivyer-Norris, 19, of Canterbury Road, Tarring, was fined £120 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (48mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) on the A285 Duncton on February 5, 2017. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Akthar Ali, 22, of The Finches, Shoreham, was discharged conditionally for six months and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting breaching a restraining order by attempting to make contact via a third party using Instagram in Southwick on December 27, 2017.

Charmaine Hannigan, 27, of Kingston Court, Stoney Lane, Shoreham, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and given a restraining order after admitting using threatening words or behaviour with intent to provoke unlawful violence in December 13, 2016. She must pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Matthew McCarthy, 26, of Eastern Sands Caravan Park, Brighton Road, Lancing, was fined £220 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drug-driving (75ug/l cocaine) in Littlehampton Road, Worthing, on December 29, 2016. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He also admitted possessing one wrap of cocaine, no separate penalty.

Rosella Jones, 42, of Salisbury Road, Worthing, was fined £80 and must pay £43 compensation, £30 victim surcharge, £50 costs, after admitting, jointly with two others, stealing meat worth £129 from The Co-op, The Strand, Maybridge, on February 5, 2017. She also admitted breaching a conditional discharge order, no action taken.

Gillian Leggatt, 56, of Shirley Close, Rustington, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must pay £85 victim surcharge, after admitting stealing items worth £59.35 from Marks and Spencer, Chichester, on February 9, 2017.

Michael Dakin, 24, of Redwood Close, Durrington, was given a community order and must carry out 60 hours’ unpaid work after admitting drink-driving (90mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Redwood Close, Durrington, on October 11, 2016. He must pay £85 victim surcharge, £300 costs, and was disqualified from driving for 23 months.
