A Calor gas canister was found in one of huts, which had to be left to cool down.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

One of the huts was owned by Mary Passmore, of Church Farm, Coombes.

The hut had been in the family for three generations and Mary s daughter, Jenny, said: There s not a lot left and what is left is mostly from next door s hut.

She added that because the summer is a busy time at the farm, they cannot go away and instead, they go down the beach hut for a few hours to relax.
