Home Office admits more prisoners ran from Ford
New figures have revealed that 33 foreign national prisoners have absconded from Ford prison this year and are still on the loose- three times the number previously admitted by the Home Office.
Of these 19 were being considered for enforcement proceedings by the Immigration and Nationality Directorate and one was awaiting deportation.
The figures emerged in a written reply from the Home Office to a Point of Order made by Arundel and South Downs MP,Nick Herbert on Tuesday June 6.
