Horizons Community Learning, has been enjoying a double celebration by welcoming a new CEO and being awarded a funding grant.

Horizons has been wishing retiring CEO Sonia Plato a heartfelt farewell and thank you for all her years of hard work, and welcoming new CEO, Tracey Rose, whose years of dedication to supporting opportunities for local people places the organisation’s future in good hands.

Tracey said: “I am committed to ensuring the ethos of Horizons is maintained and am proud to be taking Horizons forward into the future.”

Horizons has been awarded a grant from the Cabinet Office. The Local Sustainability Fund will give access to professional advice, including support from the Best of Hastings, to meet new goals, establish stronger relationships with local businesses and develop skills and support services.

Horizons Community Learning offers advice and guidance leading to a range of courses and workshops, from confidence to GCSEs, Certificates and Diplomas, for local people.

Many courses are free of charge and offer crèche places. They also offer opportunities for volunteers to enable them to get involved and build their skills & confidence.

Horizons can deliver professional, accredited and bespoke courses for employers and their staff, to support development of the workforce.
