The event was planned by a dedicated group of volunteers and manned by many extra volunteers who gave the entire day to making the show a success.

Barbara Eason of the St Michael’s Hospice Riding Club said: “The Riding Club would like to thank all the volunteers and entrants for their patience on the day and for supporting the club in their quest to raise as much money for the hospice as possible.

“Donations are still being received but we look forward to announcing the total amount raised shortly.”

“The members of St Michael’s Hospice Riding Club generously give their time to organise this event and I’d like to thank them and all of the other volunteers for their continued hard work and dedication.

“They host a number of events throughout the year and for that we are immensely grateful.”
