Horsham District Council approves plans for 2,500 homes next to Crawley

PLANS for 2,500 homes to be built on Horsham district’s border with Crawley have been given the go-ahead by councillors.

Last night Crawley Borough Councillors joined Horsham District Councillors in debating the plans for a new neighbourhood on the outskirts of Crawley, West of Bewbush.

The two councils have worked closely together for about eight years to find a solution to the ever expanding population of the Horsham-Crawley area and, following full permission being granted, developers Crest Nicholson will start preparation work on the Holmbush Farm landfill site in June.
