The retailer is all set to move into its new premises next month and in doing so will say goodbye to its iconic home in Piries Place.

On Wednesday June 17, at 5pm, the store will shut up shop for the last time before making a quick dash across town to open up the following morning in their brand new building in Albion Way.

Jo Thomas, branch manager at Waitrose in Horsham, said she will be sad to leave the old premises behind but was greatly looking forward to the moving into the new store and the challenge it presented.

She said: “It is very sad, I have good memories from the store. I think it is the memories that people will miss.

People say goodbye to memories of people who have worked there or what has gone on in the store. But we have to close the doors and move into the future.

“This is an amazing opportunity for us but we are a happy store that has been here for 25 years and we want to celebrate ever thing that has gone on and everything we have done.”
