Horsham Labour secretary says Lib Dems ‘spent force’ locally and nationally

The secretary of the Horsham Labour Party was happy their share of the vote in the county council elections had gone up in the Horsham district.

Speaking at the West Sussex County Council count today Ray Chapman, who received 212 votes in the Horsham Tanbridge and Broadbridge Heath ward, said that the results for Labour were ‘encouraging’.

He added: “Our vote has gone up in all the divisions that we have stood in and I think it proves the Lib Dems are almost a spent force locally as well as nationally.”
