Horsham Skate Jam

A SKATE JAM competition will be held at Horsham Park’s new and improved skate park on September 18.

The event, organised by Horsham District Council, will run from 11am to 6.30pm and has three sections: BMX, Inline Skating and Skateboarding.

Entry is £5 and the first competition will take place between 11am and 12.30pm for under 16s. Registration will take place an hour beforehand.

Over 16s can register from 12.30pm to 1.30pm and the competition will run until 6.30pm.

Participants are asked to wear protective clothing at all times when they are taking part and anybody aged 17 and under must wear a helmet and have a parent/guardian sign a consent form.

Everybody who enters the competition will go home with something to show they have participated with prizes for each category winner.

In addition to the Skate Jam, there will be refreshments and stalls from the fire service, Pro Skate and BMX outlets giving people the chance to have a go on custom made equipment.
