Horsham teenager dies in traffic collision

A HORSHAM teenager has died after a serious collision on the A27 at Arundel on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 7.10am after a car and a lorry had collided on the stretch between Arundel railway station and Crossbush.

The 19-year-old driver from Horsham was trapped in the Vauxhall Corsa. He was released by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and received immediate medical treatment but tragically died minutes later.

The Highways Agency and Police would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road was made safe. It was reopened around 1.20pm later on Thursday.afternoon.
