Hospice support is ‘amazing’

St Michael’s Hospice has said a big thank you to everyone who has supported them over the past two weeks since it was badly damaged by fire.

Chloe Dyas, from the hospice, said: “It has made a massive difference to how efficiently and quickly the Hospice has been able to continue providing such specialist palliative care to patients.

“It has been amazing to see the community of Hastings and Rother really come together for this cause and support one of their favourite local charities.

The Hospice is also asking anyone who is fund raising for the Hospice to make sure they let them know by emailing [email protected].

Support for the hospice included twpo local ladies setting up a Facebook appeal and charity auction to raise funds, which attracted massive support from local businesses and individuals.

St Michael’s Hospice provides in-patient and out-reach palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses across Hastings and Rother.

Its specialist care and clinical teams deliver supportive care, symptom control and support to patients and families through the 28-bed hospice in St Leonards.
