Hospice to host a Shiatsu AwarenessDay this month

There is an opportunity to experience simple Shiatsu techniques and learn how it can help with pain relief at an awareness day being held at St Michael’s Hospice.

The Awareness Day is a free event organised by The Sara Lee Trust, in partnership with Shiatsu College, Hastings – will be held on Saturday May 9, commencing at 10am.

All are invited to go along for an hour or two to receive a treatment and learn more about the benefits of Shiatsu.

Activities will include practical workshops to learn how to use simple Shiatsu techniques helping with pain, anxiety and nausea.

There will also be a seminar, hosted by Dr Rose Fuhrmann, on the latest ideas regarding how Shiatsu works, opportunities to receive seated and floor-based Shiatsu treatments and an information stall with leaflets and handouts about Shiatsu in the NHS.

Vegetarian lunches will be available, along with other refreshments.

Donations to The Sara Lee Trust will be gratefully received.
