HOSPITAL FIGHT GETS BOOST
Campaigners to "Save the DGH" have received a boost by recruiting Lord Denis Healey to their ranks.
The veteran Labour politician, former Chancellor of the Exchequer and Alfriston resident, was invited to become a Patron of the Campaign by Nigel Waterson, the Eastbourne MP.
Lord Healey readily agreed to lend his support.
MrWaterson said: "I am delighted to welcome Denis Healey to our campaign. He is a real political heavyweight, and his support demonstrates how our campaign is truly cross-party. It is great to have him on board."
