The Travelodge at Hellingly has been given a quarter-of-a-million pound makeover.
The 58-room hotel, on the Boship roundabout, has been ‘totally transformed’ in a four-week revamp – according to hotel bosses.
The investment at Hellingly Travelodge is part of a nationwide £100 million brand modernisation programme.
To date Travelodge has modernised 92 per cent of its rooms across the UK, and all Travelodge rooms across the country now include a luxury bed called the Travelodge Dreamer, which is used predominately by luxury hotels worldwide.
The room design has been created by Travelodge customers. Truckle beds have been installed into family rooms, offering children their own individual bed whilst creating more storage space for families at the same time.
Work at the hotel, which opened in 1990, also includes a complete revamp of all public areas within the hotel.
Louise Wallis, hotel manager, said, “We are investing £100 million modernising all our hotels and building a new Travelodge.
“The fresh modern look at Hellingly Eastbourne Travelodge is attracting fantastic guest feedback, and a number of leisure and business customers have already praised the contemporary look and the Travelodge Dreamer bed.
“Last year at Hellingly Eastbourne Travelodge we enjoyed double digit growth due to the rise in business and leisure customers switching to us.
“Our new look hotel will ensure that we continue growing sales and cementing our position as the favourite hotel for value in the area.”
