Hub opens doors to community

PEOPLE were able to catch up with what is going on in the Rye area when Rye Community Hub held an Open Day on Wednesday.

Local community groups and organisations had information stalls and visitors were able to watch DVD footage of local community events from the 1970’s and 80’s

The event also saw the launch of a new free community newspaper called The Looker.

The British Trsut for Conservation Volunteers, which had a stand at the event, is holding a free Volunteer Health Walk Leader training day on Tuesday. No experience is required, just a friendly nature and the availability to lead a health walk in Rye at least once a month.

The Rye health walk is on Mondays at 10am from Gibbet Marsh car park.
