Hundred to join Littlehampton’s first seafront Santa run

SANTAS big and small, will descend on Littlehampton in their hundreds on Sunday without a single sleigh in sight.

More than 500 Santas are set to take part in the first ever St Barnabas House Santa Dash along Littlehampton’s seafront – and there is still time for more St Nicks to take part.

The event, which will begin promptly at 11am, will see competitors sprint, jog or walk a 3km route – about two miles – from the Banjo Road carpark.

The group of Santas will go west towards the river Arun, before heading down Arun Parade, past the Oyster Pond, and into South Terrace.

The route will turn south into Sea Road and along the seafront, before looping around Mewsbrook Park and eventually finishing at the promenade.

All the funds raised on the day will go to supporting the Goring-based organisation’s hospice at home services, which provides terminally-ill patients with vital care in their own homes.

In little more than a year since the service began there have been more than 3,390 visits to patients in their own homes.
