The local rehoming centre held an Easter fun day, welcoming nearly two hundred visitors. The event had plenty of fun activities for young and old alike, including an Easter trail, home-made treats, a raffle and the opportunity to see the furry friends looking for a new home.

Myra Grove, Cattery Manager Bluebell Ridge, said she was overwhelmed by how many people came to support their first Easter fun day, adding: “We are extremely grateful to everyone who came along and made the day a great success.”

Pickles (pictured) is a torbie short haired female cat and Bluebell Ridges longest resident. She is twelve years old and is an affectionate girl who loves a lap to sit on, whilst soaking up all of the attention. Pickles is looking for a quiet home to enjoy her senior years without other pets. If you would like to give a home to Pickles or any other residents at Bluebell Ridge, call 01424 752121. Visit their rehoming centre at Chowns Hill, Hastings, open daily 11-3pm except Thursday. See all the cats needing a home at: www.bluebellridge.org.uk

Bluebell Ridge also holds three open days throughout the year, the first is on Sunday May 29.
