Robertsbridge Aviation Society: have a special WW1 exhibition on at the moment, the museum at Bush Barn, Silverhill on the A21 north of Robertsbridge TN32 5PA is open on the last Sunday of each month 10.30-5.00pm (closed from Nov-Feb) The museum contains artefacts and exhibits from WW1 to WW2 and beyond including a new display for WW1. Parking & admission free, donations always welcome. For further info. 01424773428 The Aviation Society held their annual open day on Sunday 10th August. I received a letter from the secretary on the 9th of August so this event could be put in the Battle Observer, the date the letter was posted was 28th July. It took 12 days to get to me, therefore, unfortunately I was unable to advertise the event in time for you to see.

The Hurst Green Community Shop & Cafe: continues to grow in popularity and now needs a cook. Urgently. Due to the growing demand on the cafe, a cook is urgently required over the weekends to help with the busy morning periods. The need has become so urgent that the shop has upgraded this role from a volunteer post to A paid post. The person would be required between 10.00 am and 1.30 pm on Saturdays & Sundays i.e. 7 hours a week. The post could be shared by 2 people so that they only have to work every other weekend.
