Scarecrows: The resutls for the scarecrow competion is as follows, the best super hero scarecrow was Super Girly and the best Villian Scarecrow was Cruella. There was a total of 78 votes, Karen and Dextor from Icklesham Village Stores will round this up to make £80 to the donation to the Pavillion fund. Thank you to all the scarecrow makers and voters for taking part. The winners will receive their prize to be collected from Icklesahm Village Stores. Watch out for the Pumkin carving competion for Halloween - get your thinking caps on!

Village Quiz: Saturday 13 September. The first Quiz of the season in the Memorial Hall.

Church Market: The last market of 2014 in the Church Saturday 20. September. Any cakes or produce for the ladies to sell for Church funds would be much appreciated.

Sponsor Our Cyclists: Tomorrow Saturday 13 is the Sussex Historic Churches Cycle Ride. Please sponsor Hugh and Annabelle Moseley who will be taking part . Half of the money raised goes to All Saints.

Horticultural Society Autumn Show: Saturday 27 September in the Memorial Hall Starting at 2pm. If you are a member the classes are in the 2014 schedule. If you are interested the Schedules which also make you a member are just £1 and are obtainable from 22 High Fords. Entries to that address with name, address and class numbers by 7pm Wednesday 24 September.

Young Gardeners: The Autumn Show includes children’s classes.

Bric-a -Brac Sale: Saturday 13 September from 10am to 12noon. A mini-bus Bric-a-Brac sale will be held at Five Villages House, Icklesham. Among may items available will be: - tea, Coffee and Biscuits. The proceeds of a raffle to be held will help to keep the bus running. Any items old or new that you can donate will be gratefully received by David Osborne - Chairman of the mini bus club.

Icklesham Casuals: The reformed 2nd team start their season at home tomorrow Saturday 13 against Sedlescombe Rangers iii.

Quiz Night: Wednesday 17 September quiz night in the Queen’s Head in aid of St Michael’s Hospice

Art Exhibition: The Art exhibition held on Bank Holiday weekend was the best ever. The raffle made a total of £223.75 all going to the Pavillion fund. 34 prizes were donated, 7 of them which were from Icklesham businessess. A big thank you to them! 18 Pictures were sold plus cards and prints for a record amount of £1006.00. We have had 2 new members join the group since the show, but are always looking for more people. If anyone is interested just come along Tuesday mornings at 10.00am. A big thankyou to everyone who came along to support the exhibition, we are hoping to hold this annually.

Macmillian coffee morning: A Macmillian coffee morning will take place at Icklesham Village Stores on 26th September am. Coffee and cakes for sale, all proceeds will go to Macmillian Nurses.
