Robin Hood Triumph; Congratulations to The Robin Hood and all his merry men (and ladies) for the success as Community Pub of the Year. It is typical of their attitude when last week’s auction of promises was rained off it was quickly rearranged. Icklesham is fortunate to have 2 first class pubs. Try this. Talk to a stranger and say you come from Icklesham. Almost always one of our pubs will be in the reply.

Icklesham Casuals: The first team start tomorrow 6 September at home against Mountfield United. On Sunday 7 Icklesham Casuals veterans begin with an away fixture against Bexhill United Veterans.

Icklesham Fete: This year’s Fete has raised over £1500. Well done all those who worked so hard.

Waste Collection: Thursday 11 Black wheelie bins for household waste.

Winchelsea Beach Older Peoples Project: A new Community Day Care Centre is opening at the Winchelsea Beach Community Hall. Older people living in any part of the civil parish of Icklesham wishing to meet others and enjoy light hearted social activities,a home cooked lunch,quizzes and music are most welcome. Support services such as toe nail cutting,manicure,eye tests and hearing aid services will be available, plus benefit advice and information. Meetings are between 10.30am and 2.30pm every Monday starting next Monday 8 September. Cost £5 including refreshments and a 2 course lunch.
