Thanks to the money from the Baker Family’s recent jumble sale enough has been raised to proceed with finalising Joan’ Memorial. It has been decided with Derrick and his family that the most fitting memorial would be a seat in the children’s play area and The Parish Council has approved the seat and its position. The work will be done when the weather and workload permit.

Derrick and the family would like to thank all those who donated. If anyone would still like to express their thanks to Joan for all that she did for the village, donations will still be gratefully received towards the installation costs – any surplus money will be given to St Michael’s Hospice.

The annual Poppy Day collection starts tomorrow and will continue until Sunday 11 November when there is a Remembrance Day Service starting at 10.30 in the Parish Church.
