Icklesham Parish Council Clerk Steve Foreman has two items about our other wards. All those eligible to vote in local elections have an opportunity to express their views on footpath lights. At present there is a contrast between Icklesham and Winchelsea. We have only lights at the traffic lights and the pubs. All our roads and lanes have clear signs and at night our skies can have excellent stars as we do not have much light pollution. In Winchelsea street signs do not exist. The voting will be on Thursday 30 August from 4pm to 9pm in the Court Hall on whether the footpath lights be turned off between midnight and 5.30am or left Winchelsea Beach residents may have got the impression that the Parish Council is considering having a skate boarding ramp in the ward. It is not.

Icklesham Casuals F.C.start 2012/2013 season on Saturday 1 September. On Tuesday 21 August there will be a warm up friendly match against Icklesham Cricket Club.
