All still very quiet on the Iden Front.

The Pop-in Coffee Morning will be open again from 11 am until 1.30 pm on Monday. I really want to call it the Pop-INN . This coincides with the visit of the Mobile Library from 12.05 until 12.45 pm. This is an brilliant opportunity to change books and CDs, meet friends and enjoy a relaxing break with a cup of excellent coffee.

Iden Parish Council has the next meeting scheduled for Tuesday 3rd September in the village hall at 7.30 pm. There is always a Public Session for you to raise matters of concern and put questions to the RDC and ESCC representatives who are usually present.

It is hoped that the up-dated Village Plan will be available which will chart the Council’s objectives for the coming months based on feedback received from residents. There will also be a review of achievements to date since the Plan was first drafted in 2010. This planning process is important as it highlights priorities and enables the council to budget accordingly and monitor progress.

White Cottage, Rectory Lane, Playden will have an Open House on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September, when Richard Adams and Jane Beecham will be delighted to show you this year’s works. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase directly from the artists.
