Pantomime rehearsals are gathering pace now. 20th April will soon be upon us !! Are there some generous people who could donate a raffle prize for the draw at each performance? Please contact Bob on 280 122, Teresa on 280 143, or Ian on 280 010.

This will prevent the Outlaws taking matters into their own hands and stealing from the rich !! All money raised will support three local “Good Causes” - Iden Church, Iden Village Hall and the Iden Goat Sanctuary

The Iden and Playden Garden Society will meet on Monday 11th March to listen to Mr. Stephen Harmer speaking about “The Persian Garden.” This will be an illustrated talk held in the village hall at 7.30 pm.

The Spring Flower Show will be on Saturday 23rd March in the village hall..

Tonight, 8th March, there is another opportunity to see some of Mr. Colin Page’s wonderful slides. He has stepped in to “save the day” when the scheduled talk could not take place.You will not be Boating and Birding down the Brahmaputra after all. The Iden and District Natural History Society is most grateful to Colin. The meeting begins at 7.30 pm in the village hall.

The Iden Church Cleaning Team is in need of one or two more helpers. If you are willing and able to spare between one and one- and -a- half hours about 6 times a year, would you please contact Mrs. Anne Haward on 280 146.

Iden W. I. will meet in the village hall on Tuesday 12th March at 7.30 pm .

There will be a Fun Quiz in the village hall in aid of Animal Charities on Friday 15th March. Tickets £7 to include a meal. Please telephone Paul on 280 041 for details. Mr. John Harrison is in charge again !!

The Lent Lunches continue on Tuesdays 12th and 19th in the Old Hall at 12.30 pm. All welcome, money raised goes to Charity.

The mid-week services continue on Wednesday at 9.30 am for Morning Prayer and 3.30 pm for Evening Prayer led by the Vicar.

This Sunday is the 4th Sunday of Lent. Thus it is Mothering Sunday. The 9.30 am service will be Family Communion led by the vicar.
