Iden village voice

The concert last Sunday by five young brass players from Bristol University calling themselves Perfect Fifth was such lovely music.

If you had thought it might be a tad too loud, it wasn’t. They were very skilful very mellow and very enthusiastic. A pleasure to hear. Even the bats came out to listen !

Iden Bowls Club has made a radical decision. It is felt that the Concerts have run their course and something new would be appropriate. People in the village were disappointed at hearing the news, and so someone new to the village - Mr. Bob Hammond - is willing to try to present an Iden Variety Show. Has Iden got talent? You bet.

One of the difficulties has been the closure of the Shop for refurbishment, therefore no ticket outlet. The shop is due to re-open on Sunday 30th September, for which huge cheers. The villagers have had a taste of what it would be like without this wonderful resource. Now we must all use it as much as possible.
