Hopefully you are sorting out some books for the Book Fair in early October. Just hard backs and paperbacks please, no magazines.

The Mobile Library will be calling at the village hall on Monday from 12.05 to 12.45. At the same time, in the village hall there is a Coffee morning for you to meet your friends. This is open from 11 am. to 1.30 pm. I suppose it really should be called a Coffee Shop.

There will not be a meeting for Morning Prayer or Evening Prayer this week.

I imagine people are watching their gardens carefully , in preparation for the Flower Festival and the Iden and Playden Garden Society’s Autumn Flower and Produce Show. Each of these takes place over the weekend of 29th/30th September. It is also Harvest Festival that weekend and Harvest Supper. Some people are going to be VERY busy!

The 9.30 am service for the 13th Sunday after Trinity will be Family Communion led by the Rev. Stella Halmshaw.
