Iden is still keeping quiet about the funds raised at the Fete at the end of July.

During this month, when there is possibly less routine stuff to be getting on with, you might like to take the opportunity to sort out your books. There will be a Book Fair on Saturday 13th October from 10 till 3 in the village hall. Hard backs and paper backs are welcome, but NO magazines please. Start collecting now. For any further information please call Carol on 280 464. If you fill up too many boxes for you to carry, and would like them collected, please phone Ray Griffin on 280 311. I will remind you at intervals between now and the Fair.

The Mobile Library will call at the village hall on Monday from 12.05 to 12.45 pm. At the same time, coffee or tea will be served from 11 am to 1.30 pm. It is an ideal opportunity to browse for books and meet a friend for coffee.

The mid-week services will be as usual at 9.30 am for Morning Prayer and 3.30 pm for Evening Prayer on Wednesday.

The service on Sunday for the 11th Sunday after Trinity will be Parish Communion led by the vicar.
