Iden village voice

Iden Parish Council will be meeting on Tuesday 6th March at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall.

The next Winter Lecture for the Iden and District Natural History Society will be on Friday 9th March at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall. This time Brenda Holcombe will be talking about Madagascar Revisited. Unless you are a member, the entrance fee is £2.50.

On Monday 12th March, the Iden and Playden Garden Society will receive a visit from the Madrona Nursery people with Plants for sale.

On Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April there will be an exhibition of local artists in the Old Hall. If anyone would like to exhibit a painting or some pottery, please contact John Harrison on 280 240. On the Sunday there will be a few spring gardens open from 2 to 5 pm, with teas in the Old Hall.

On Friday 9th March there will be a Quiz night in the Old Hall organised by the Friends of Iden Church. It begins at 7.30 pm and numbers are strictly limited to 36, with teams of 6 players. It will cost £5, please bring your own drinks. For tickets please phone 280 240 or 280 205.*Weekday services are on Tuesday at 9.30 am - Morning Prayer, and 3.30 pm - Evening Prayer.

Mothering Sunday on 18th March will be a Family Service at 9.30 am.

This coming Sunday at 9.30 am, the service for the second Sunday in Lent will be a Family Service, led by the vicar.
