Iden village voice - March 23

The Iden and District Natural History Society has a meeting tonight in the village hall at 7.30 pm to hold the AGM, which will be followed by Members’ Nature Photography, both local and abroad.

This will be led by Jill Halpin and Ray Jones. Refreshments will be available, also a raffle. Unless you are a member, it will cost you £2.50 as an entrance fee.

Next Friday, 30th March, there will be a Night of Film Nostalgia, including old footage around Rye, Hastings and Romney Marsh.

This will take place at Rye College at 7 pm. It will be presented by Barry Littlechild.

Iden Singers will present a programme of songs and readings in Iden Church on Friday 30th March at 7.30 pm. All proceeds will be given to charity.

On Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April there will be an exhibition of the work of local artists in the Old Hall. If there is anyone who would like to exhibit a painting or some craft work, please contact John Harrison on 280 240.

On the Sunday, there will also be a few spring gardens open to admire the bulbs from 2 to 5 pm. Teas will be served in the Old Hall.

The mid-week services will be at 9.30 am - Morning prayer, and 3.30 pm - Evening Prayer in Iden Church.

The 9.30am service for Passion Sunday will be Parish Communion led by the vicar.

British Summer Time begins on Sunday 25th, so remember to move the clocks forward one hour.
