Iden village voice - March 30

Iden Parish Council wishes to encourage everyone to come along and express their opinion on what Iden needs to have to improve residing there. All comments and ideas will be welcome. So come along and have a chat, tea or coffee on Saturday 21st April from 10 am to 12 noon at Iden village Hall.

The Mobile Library will be at the village hall on Monday from 12.05 to 12.45.

The Parish Council will meet on Tuesday 3rd April at 7.30 pm in the village hall.

It is a busy weekend coming up for residents of Iden and friends.

On Friday evening, 30th March at 7.30 pm, Iden Singers will present a programme of songs and readings in Iden Church.

On Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April there will be an exhibition of local artists in the Old Hall. Please contact John Harrison for further details. On the Sunday there will be a few spring gardens open from 2 to 5 pm with teas in the Old Hall. With the lovely weather this week, there should be some very pretty flowers to see.

The services for Holy week are as follows: Midweek Eucharist on Wednesday 4th March at 10.15 am. Maundy Thursday, Holy Communion at 7 pm at Iden. On Good Friday there will be the Walk of Witness at 12 noon in Rye. There will be a service At the Foot of the Cross from 12 noon to 1 pm at Iden. The service for the Last Hour will be from 2 to 3 pm at Playden.

On Saturday there will be Compline, the Lighting of the Easter Candle and the Renewal of Baptismal Vows at 8 pm at Playden.

This Sunday is Palm Sunday and the 11 am service of Parish Communion will be led by the Vicar.
