It is believed that offenders were also able to gain access to the property by forcing the front door open.

The only item reported to have been stolen from the property is jewellery.

Investigator Katy Wood said: “The jewellery taken from Rambledown Lane burglary is fairly distinctive and we are appealing to anyone who might have seen these items for sale anywhere. The items are very unique, mainly from abroad and have great sentimental value to the owners.”

A property was also broken into in Harborough Close.

The incident is believed to have occurred some time between Friday August 15 and Tuesday August 26.

Offenders are also believed to have been able to gain access by forcing open the front door.

Jewellery again was the only item reported to have been taken from the property.

A third property in Nyetimber Copse was broken into on Saturday August 23 between 9.50pm and 10.15pm.

Sussex Police believe that the offenders were able to gain entry to the property by forcing open the front door.

No items are believed to have been taken.
