New parking charges due to be introduced in Horsham tomorrow have sparked a public backlash.

In today’s County Times, a petition has been launched over parking fees on Sundays and Bank Holidays, Storm Katie caused chaos across the Horsham district, and the owner of a farm park raided by thieves has thanked the public for their support since the theft.

Thousands of people visited Horsham town centre for the popular Piazza Italia festival, a principal has said a heartfelt goodbye to the school where she has worked for 28 years, and a headteacher has warned opponents of academies to be careful what they ask for.

Meanwhile, emergency first responders have been presented with a new defibrillator, a six-year-old has given up sweets for a month for a good cause, and crowds packed the streets to watch the ever-popular Bolney Pram Race.
